Our story is a long one. Too long for a simple blog page. So we'll go with the short & sweet version...
The hubs (Brad) and I have known each other since we were kids. We grew up together, our houses literally less than 1/2 a mile apart. Around the age of 12/13, we developed crushes on each other. I spent the next 4-5 years doing the whole, "Does he like me? He said such-and-such, but what does that meeeeannn???" That was loads of fun. At 15, we admitted to liking each other, flirted shamelessly, and that's about as far as it went. But mostly, we were best friends, spending almost every day together. We finally began dating when I was 17 (he was 16) and never looked back.
After 8 long years of dating, my man finally proposed under the stars, one cold Christmas Eve in 2006, in front of my parents' house... the exact spot where we met as kids. We had a total Southern Belle dream wedding the next year, and after 5 years of marriage, we haven't killed each other yet (ha, totally kidding. I still love him to pieces).
A couple years later, we welcomed our first baby, Noah (you can read more about him here). He seriously is the sweetest, happiest little guy. He has brought so much life and joy to our home. We kind of like him a lot.
We've been through a whole lot together. In fact, it's kind of unbelievable that we fit so much living in such a short amount of time. It's been an amazing life so far.
Currently, I'm a stay-at-home mom to Noah and part-time photographer. The hubs works for Target and works his rear end off so that I can stay home with our boy. We spend most days hanging out as a family, watching too much Curious George, and just enjoying life together.
